ENDOSCOPIC ASSESSMENT OF SWALLOWING INTRODUCTION AND HANDS-ON TRAINING: Intermediate Professional Level. Two-Day Course Brochure
Learning Outcomes:
Identify a minimum of three American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) guidelines, for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners performing endoscopic procedures.
Identify a minimum of three contraindications for safety, when performing a Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) procedure.
Identify a minimum of two differences between a modified barium swallow, and a Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) procedure. Knowledge of this information is essential when the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is needed to identify, the appropriate procedure, whether fluoroscopy or nasoendoscopy.
Participant will conduct normal passes, with the nasoendoscopy scope, safely on live participants. Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners will gain technical experience and the experience will be utilized with patient anatomy.
Identify CPT codes for Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) procedure.

For participants that are unable to attend the course due to a scheduling conflict, work-related requirements, illness (personal or family), or an emergency, the Company will reimburse the participant in full if notification is provided. A no-show will not receive reimbursement. Payment may be refunded via PayPal with a return explanation from PayPal, or by check from the Company, mailed within twenty-four hours. A cancelation notice will be included with the check.
Upon completion of the course requirements, (must attend every session, complete course evaluation, and sign out), the participant will receive a certificate of seating.
