NEEDING ADDED PASSES? THIS IS THE COURSE FOR YOU!

LEARNING OUTCOMES

1. Participant will be able to perform safe normal passes with an endoscope, on live volunteers, with supervision.

2. Explain the risks, indications, and contraindications of the  Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) procedure.

3. Describe a minimum of two ASHA guidelines, for Speech Language Pathologists, when performing a Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) procedure.

The above program is offered either on-site at your facility, or as a clinical course.

We require the participant to complete a mandatory two-day course as a prerequisite for the Added Passes course.

The speech language pathologist is required to complete their normal passes, prior to the next step, which is performing a FEES procedure with supervision. This is with either a Speech Language Pathologist FEES trainer, or an Otolaryngologist.
